Menu[1].pngMarketing has a huge influence on the success of your wash, and it is important to keep your marketing fresh and exciting. However, coming up with new marketing ideas isn't easy. So, we've done the heavy lifting for you – any of these car wash marketing ideas will help you boost your revenue:

1. Set up a Facebook page for your wash.

It's more important than ever for car washes to have websites – a website will help your potential customers learn about your wash. However, designing a full website can take a lot of time and require a financial investment. If you'd rather set something up quickly, Facebook is a great stand-in for an official website. Get started on your page with this quick tutorial on setting up a Facebook for your wash.

2. Eliminate an option from your menu.

Do you know? Four or fewer packages on a menu will provide better revenue results. More than four packages can become confusing and cause anxiety with customers. Generally, the average ticket for three packages will net better results than four, typically by 5% or more. If you want to eliminate a package from your current menu, chose the middle package with the lowest take rate. You can learn more about package elimination in our e-book Boost Your Revenue Today: The Essential Guide to Making More Money at Your Wash.

3. Email a free upgrade to your existing customers.

According to the ICA 2016 Consumer Study, only 11% of consumers received a digital offer from a wash in the past year. That means that your wash has a great opportunity to digitally connect with your customers! If you have an email list that you aren't sure what to do with, try emailing out a coupon for a free package upgrade, or even a free top wash with the purchase of a top wash. You might be surprised by your results!

4. Revist your pricing.

When was the last time you thought about your wash pricing? For most washes, it has been awhile. It's possible that you're leaving money on the table with your pricing. We know that customers prefer even-priced washes, so unless there is a business reason, move your off price points to a higher and even price point. 5. Add a new offering to your menu.

Another great way to jumpstart your car wash marketing is to add an exciting new offering to your menu. Testing a new option doesn't have to be difficult – you can start by introducing your new offering as a promotion or Manager's special, using a cost-effective windscreen. A 3-8% take rate can be expected just by adding it as an off-menu package! Once you've done that, check out these tips for more information about adding a new offering to your menu.

6. Showcase your trusted consumer brands.

The ICA 2016 Consumer Study also concluded that trusted consumer brands in your menu also creates high value to your customers. If you're already using trusted consumer brands like Armor All Professional® and Rain-X®, be sure to communicate that to your customers. There are a lot of tools you can use to do this – your menu, windmasters, and gate signs are all great places to remind your customers of that high value. 7. Upgrade your wash experience.

Creating an exciting car wash experience is a great way to keep your customers coming back to your wash. You have a lot of options when it comes to increasing the "theater" of your car wash – you can keep it simple, by adding a fragrance like the Blue Coral® Paradise Foam Soap, which has a refreshing Coconut Lime scent, or you can go all in by adding LED lighting to your arches.
